We collect information you or your organization provide to operate EdgeSnags. The exact information depends on the features you use and your organization’s configuration.

• Account and profile information, including your name, email address, phone number, organization, role, and authentication information.
• Project content, including projects, locations, snags, comments, assignments, status history, photos, annotations, drawings, files, reports, and QR-code activity.
• Device and technical information needed to secure, operate, troubleshoot, and improve the service, including device identifiers, push-notification tokens, application version, diagnostics, and security logs.
• Camera, microphone, photo, and file content only when you choose to use features that require them. Speech input may be processed by your device or its configured speech service.
• Offline project information stored on your device so supported features can work without a network connection.

How we use information

• Provide authentication, project collaboration, inspection, snag management, reporting, offline access, and synchronization.
• Send requested operational notifications about assignments, comments, status changes, and related project activity.
• Protect accounts and projects, prevent abuse, diagnose failures, maintain audit records, and support users.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce applicable agreements.

How information is shared

Project information is visible to authorized members of the relevant organization or project according to their assigned roles and permissions. We may use infrastructure and service providers to host data, deliver notifications and email, store files, and operate the service. These providers process information on our behalf under appropriate safeguards. We do not sell personal information or use EdgeSnags project content for third-party advertising.

Security and retention

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information, including encrypted network transport and access controls. No system can guarantee absolute security.

We retain information while it is needed to provide the service, meet contractual and legal requirements, resolve disputes, maintain security and audit records, and enforce agreements. Retention may depend on instructions from the organization that manages your account.

Your choices and rights

You can update supported profile information and notification preferences in EdgeSnags. You may request access, correction, or deletion of personal information, subject to applicable law and legitimate retention requirements. If your organization manages your account, it may need to authorize or complete the request.

To request account deletion, follow the instructions on our Account Deletion page. You can disable application permissions through your device settings, although doing so may prevent related features from working.
